Travel Photography Between assignments Michael conducts a number of travel photographic workshops in locations all over the world. Workshops are limited to twelve photographers, and cover a variety of topics tailored to the skill level and needs of the group. They cover everything from film selection to "how-to-sell" your images. Introductory workshops are usually held in Canada and the USA, while those for advanced photographers are held in more exotic destinations. Workshop packages include accommodations, airfare, film processing, classroom lectures and daily photo reviews.

Underwater Photography Each year Michael, a certified PADI scuba instructor, hosts three U/W photography workshops in some of the world's best dive locations. Two introductory workshops give divers their first taste of U/W photography, while an advance-level workshop caters to raising the skill level of the more experienced U/W photographer. Workshops are limited to twelve divers and include airfare, accommodations, diving, camera rentals, film processing, classroom lectures and daily photo reviews.
